The Pink Sheets have been in existence since 1913, when the National Quotation Service (NQS) began printing on pink paper a directory of the broker-dealers wishing to buy or sell unlisted securities. Not until 1999 did it go electronic with a real-time quotation service, completing its makeover with a name change in 2008, to the OTC Markets Group. I was very apprehensive about the Series 24 exam prior to taking it.
