Series 79: Separate Accounts

Taken from our Series 79 Top-off Online Guide

Separate Accounts

A purchase does not violate Rule 105 if the purchaser has separate accounts, the account for which the purchase is made and the account that sold short are separate, and decisions for each account are made separately and without coordination. (Think of this as the “left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing” exception.)
