1.1.1.2.1. Filed as Hard Copies
After depositing funds in FINRA Gateway, the applicant must file hard copies of the following forms:
Form BD. This is the main form for the first step of the application process. It must be filed with both FINRA and the SEC. On Form BD, the applicant identifies the type and nature of its business and in what states it will operate. If other businesses provide services to the applicant or if the applicant will introduce customers to other broker-dealers, those businesses must be identified. The applicant must disclose on the form:
• Anyone having a control relationship with the firm (this means under the firm’s control or controlling the firm)
